ID3Zapper

This application allows you to change Artist, Album, and Genre fields of the ID3 tag of your MP3 files. I wrote this app specifically for the problem of updating common attributes like Album name for a set of MP3 files which had inconsistent, or wrong, values.

Installation

Download .zip file and extract the content files to somewhere on your computer. (It comes with ID3Zapper.exe and UltraID3Lib.dll)

How to use

1. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to a location where you store target MP3 files
2. Select either (1) a folder that contains MP3 files, or (2) one or more MP3 files in a folder
3. Drag the selected item(s) into ID3Zapper
4. Once your MP3 files are listed, you can enter desired value(s) to Artist, Album, and Genre fields (NOTE: if you leave fields blank, ID3Zapper will preseve the existing values)
5. Click "Zap!" button, which writes the specified values to your MP3 files' ID3 tag area. Note that this operation is performed against all of the MP3 files currently listed.
6. You can repeat this process, select different set of files
